If you recall, back in December (thread 18 this page) I worked on a PC with Blue Screen of Death and ATIKMDAG error. After upgrading AMD graphics with the latest drivers downloaded from the manufacturers sight, all seemed well until this Friday. Now the bitch is back and it happens more frequently. The PC is HP Pavilion 500-424 running Win 8.1 and AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics and aticfx 64.dll driver. When I first fixed it I had trouble completely removing the old driver and used AMD's driver uninstall tool which worked well. Now my other considerations are; bad graphic cards, bad RAM, bad HD, corrupt registry, corrupt win 8.1 software and just about everything else including a possible registry virus. I plan on rolling back the drivers first. If that doesn't work I plan on reloading win 8.1. BTW it only happens when playing a video (games work fine). Any ideas?
